Day 28 | It’s almost 2017!

Fondest memories! I thought I would post something I remember that my family used to do. We used to travel to different places, like road trips. One day in particular that I enjoyed was not even far from where we lived. We would go to Mt. Wilson, off of FWY 2. One morning, we went on a nice day and after exploring, we headed to a nearby restaurant like a cabin-style restaurant and had an enjoyable breakfast. I don’t know why this was memorable to me, but I loved that day.

Today, I saw snow up in the mountains from afar. I love seeing snow capped mountains! Anyhow, it’s almost the new year. I have another post that I would put up hopefully soon. What are your new year’s resolutions (if any?) I personally have not thought about mine yet. Oh, and Happy Birthday to my cousin, Fatima. We grew up together as kids and now that we’re grown, and even with the distance, I feel like nothing has changed. Even though we hardly have conversations and see each other, I’m thankful. Happy Birthday again! πŸ™‚

So I hope to write more consistently on this blog like I said before. Does that count as a new year resolution? I might have to go back to my post about ‘My Bucket Lists‘ to see what else I need to cross off! Hehe.

God bless you and thanks for reading!

Happy 4th! / Weekend Getaway!

How was your Fourth of July? Mine was good. So glad I got to get away from LA. A very much needed mini vacay. It might sound crazy, but my family/relatives decided to go to Las Vegas when it’s usually crowded AND hot to be going there. It wasn’t bad at all. Yes, it was hot! I got to try Shake Shack for the first time. I also went to Dunkin’ Donuts! We don’t have one nearby so it was a must. I was determined to bring some Dunkin’ Donut’s munchies going back home.

Overall, I had a great time. We didn’t get to see fireworks as much which was a fail from our hotel room. We stayed at Luxor Hotel. Thank God for everything. Anyway, more exciting news hopefully on my next blog post. Until then! Ciao.

My Top Ten Spots for Food in LA.

(In no particular order, I decided to post my ten favorite spots to dine in Los Angeles. Based from this, I can now admit that I am into American, Mediterranean, Cuban, Korean and Japanese dishes. Enjoy!)

Lemonade – I could really go for some of their Cucumber Mint lemonade right now. So good! Their menu is full of “healthy” portions. My favorite though is the Seared Ahi Tuna.

Larchmont Bungalow – Well, I’m really into that cafΓ© vibe. They offer good food. Yummy breakfast entrees and free wifi. So you can do work and dine, which is pretty cool.

Panini Cafe – My newest discovery! Oh my. Can’t believe how good their Tofu Kabob Plate is. Must try!

Porto’s Bakery – Probably the most popular place or you may have tried it if you are LA local. My current favorite is their Soup of the Day and Green Tea Smoothie/Shake.

CaffΓ© Concerto – It’s like Bottega Louie, but in Koreatown. They serve macaroons, desserts, lattes and delish entrees. Cute place. I love the vibe and atmosphere here.

BCD Tofu House – Love Korean food! I love having Soon Tofu and their Korean BBQ Ribs.

Nordstrom Bar Verde – Good food. Nice ambiance. I have only been there once, but I wouldn’t mind going there after some shopping.

California Pizza Kitchen – I prefer this place than Cheesecake Factory. Although, I like Cheesecake Factory’s desserts (Godiva cheesecake for me, please.) My favorite at CPK are their thin crust pizzas.

Spoon House – Yum! This is a Japanese/Italian inspired pasta/spaghetti house. I remember I used to crave this a lot. If I wasn’t cutting down on my carbs, I wouldn’t mind having this more often!

Curry House – I love their curry variations and options. Their sweet tea is so good!

Yellow House Cafe – This spot offers good food and is a nice place to chill and hangout. They offer half price on their drinks when you buy a meal. It is a cute yellow house cafe!

Hope you enjoyed reading this post. Thanks and God bless!

I Believe.

Blame it on the holiday season, but I have to say I am slowing down with what I am supposed to be doing continually — STUDYING! Thankfully, I have a blog to vent out words when I need to. It does help me keep on track. I should have no excuse whatsoever. I am getting sleepy and taking naps when it’s time to study. Hah! Whether I like it or not, I should find a way to get back to it.

The weather has been chilly this past week. However, it was actually warmer today! Below are more photos of myself from Solvang. Though I had a great time, I must move forward and focus again back to getting myself busy. As you can see, my blog post title says ‘I BELIEVE’.

It’s been a hard transition this Fall. I had to let go of some things, and I don’t know exactly what will happen. I will trust in the Lord and BELIEVE. I don’t know what it is, but this journey since I started my blog have been exciting! Praying that I get my motivation back in studying.

Hope you have a great holiday season. God bless!

A Trip to Solvang

I want to keep this blog post short. I recently got back from a mini getaway with my friend Diana! She and I celebrated her birthday. It was a special one because we have been wanting to do something like this for a long time. I am so grateful and I praise God for this. We had such an amazing time just hanging together. We took a bunch of photos that I will show you. I also have a video! (So proud I made my first official one. Thanks Diana for the help! Otherwise, I would have created the video with Photoshop. Haha) To view the photos, click on the link that I have below:

I am just really thankful. Have a wonderful day everyone! God bless.

Happy Thanksgiving! / I’m Thankful For…

Today is Thanksgiving Day! I’m thankful to God for what He continues to do in my life. From a trip to the Philippines last June that I did not expect, a concert that I was thrilled I got to spend a night with my Mom, visiting my Dad in the Philippines and so much more, having good lunches with my brother (something we have in common) and a friend who I look at as a sister. I hope everyone spends this holiday with such joy, sharing, fond of good thankful memories with your loved ones. To all who reads my blog, I am thankful for you. I pray that you are well! God bless and Happy Thanksgiving!

Philippines 2013

Many things on my mind. First of all, thank God for a safe flight. No negativity on this post. I am thankful and glad to see everyone I was hoping to see back in the Philippines πŸ™‚ A warm welcome given to us by family, relatives, church friends, youth and elders. Overwhelming! We could not ask for more. I feel blessed today. Thank you to those who continue to pray for me. You guys know that I need it. Thank you so much!

So what exactly did I do while in the Philippines? Spent time with my cousins, especially my girl cousins: Dana, Nica and Fatima πŸ™‚ I am sorry girls I was not at my best! Hope it’s different next time. Of course, I went to church on Sundays, actually 4 Sundays total, and some of the mid-week bible studies. I truly enjoyed meeting up with friends that I grew up with in the church. It was a great night and dinner! Thanks guys! Also, so typical of me… I did some shopping too. So what else? I will miss the food in the Philippines and all of you!

Thanks to everybody and God bless!
