Before the New Year…

I just wanted to post about some of the pretty things I want. Lol. There’s nothing wrong with having what you want, nothing at all. Maybe next year! Or I should say hopefully next year. Will be my birthday present to myself or Christmas present. They’re all by Gucci. I don’t even want to look at their other accessories. Haha. That would make me want them even more. I’m leaning more towards the black color or pink. They’re in no particular order.

I babysat my little nephew today. He’s been a blessing to me and my family. He brings so much joy in our lives. He’s just so cute… and he’s turning 3 years old soon! Alright, have a Happy New Year and a blessed 2017! Lots of love!

My Birthday + Fall Season + Etc!

Thank you very much to friends and family who took their time to greet me a Happy Birthday!!! It means a lot to me. I really appreciate the people that made my birthday, birthday week and birthday month special! Of course, I am most thankful to God for blessing me with another year.

My pretty birthday cake. Thank you Ate Janie! (cousin)

Even the box was pretty…

Birthday Shenanigans. Thank you once again.

Had dim sum for my birthday weekend with the family

With my sweet, sweet nephew Jaylen!

He’s such a model at 2 and a half years old!

I’m quite ready for Fall. I love summer, but I love being bundled up and wearing boots. Lol! I really wanted grey ones, as you can see on this picture. But they’re all sold out! So I got the black ones last night. Upon arriving home, I decided to try them on again. I realized the tassels are different from the back! It turns out, I got a different pair on the left and right. Haha. Ummm, I will have to go back to the store and exchange for the right pair. I hope they have it because it is the last pair. I’m really into these over the knee boots this season. Even though I know they were already on trend since last Fall. **UPDATE** I was able to go and return the boots and guess what! They carry the grey ones in my size! YAY! I’m a happy camper. Hehe.

Sorry this post is all jumbled, but I also want to announce that I have a private group for health/fitness on Facebook! If you would like to join, let me know. Anyway, I’m also excited next month! God-willing, I might be attending a calligraphy workshop, which is one of the things on my bucket list! Soooooo excited. Last night, I was going to attend a blogging workshop, but I missed it. Speaking of blogging, if you or anyone you know is interested in blogging, having a website, or any graphic design needs, please feel free to contact me and I will be glad to help assist! Thank you.

Hope you’re having a fantastic Friday and have a blessed weekend! xoxo

My 2015-2016 Planner

Processed with VSCOcam with a6 preset

Look what I got! Yes, I’m bringing back an agenda/planner/organizer in my life. I used to carry one always back in high school and college. Seeing these days that a lot of people (okay, maybe a community of people) are really into having one of these, I got inspired to get one too. I got mine from Staples yesterday and the 3D sticker embellishments were just $.80 cents each at the cheap bins from Michael’s! I was thrilled to see that. I originally wanted to get the Happy Planner, but they did not have any at Michael’s.

My birthday is coming up and what’s a planner without putting your own birthday! Hehe. But really, I am pretty creative with writing in my planner even way back then. So adding stickers or embellishments though are new to me. I’m stepping up! I have been seeing others even put flags and washi tapes to decorate.

Check out the inside of this planner. The brand is by StudioC and it has a turquoise cover design. I love the bright colorful tabs. Each month also has a cute quote in it. I also like that it comes with pockets. Lastly, I like that it is very handy and hopefully it would fit my bags/purses without falling apart.

Happy Birthday to my brother + Grateful!

I would like to greet my one and only brother Duke a Happy Happy Birthday!!! We’re all getting older. My brother is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. I am so thankful for him. He has done so much for me and I hope nothing but goodness for my brother. God bless him. Love him so much!

For He who is mighty has done great things for me,
And holy is His name. -Luke 1:49

I am so grateful to God who is mighty. I can truly say that He has done great things for me. What are you grateful for today? God is good, all the time. Thanks for reading this post!

It’s been a while…

The holiday seasons are here! Indeed, it is the busiest time of the year. It is also a time to reflect on how the year went by and to be thankful for all that has been going on or what we may have experienced and was able to conquer this year. I am writing this blog post again since I got a chance to work with a friend yesterday to set-up her blog. So it got me in the mood to go back to this blog. God is so good. Though I have been through some struggles, there is healing always ahead.

Spent the past days lately with my friend, Diana (Happiest birthday to you again!) Here are some photos we took:

And here’s a little treat for myself 🙂

I am blessed to have my family and if you didn’t know, my Dad is currently miles away. I recently had a conversation with my Dad and that made me happy. Also, I have some new work to add on my portfolio, which I am excited about. I realize this post isn’t much. I just wanted to get a hang on blogging again. Hope all is well with you this season. God bless and have a wonderful day!

A Trip to Solvang

I want to keep this blog post short. I recently got back from a mini getaway with my friend Diana! She and I celebrated her birthday. It was a special one because we have been wanting to do something like this for a long time. I am so grateful and I praise God for this. We had such an amazing time just hanging together. We took a bunch of photos that I will show you. I also have a video! (So proud I made my first official one. Thanks Diana for the help! Otherwise, I would have created the video with Photoshop. Haha) To view the photos, click on the link that I have below:

I am just really thankful. Have a wonderful day everyone! God bless.

Happy Birthday to my Dad!

Wishing my Dad a Happy Happy Birthday! To my Dad, I hope you think about us as you celebrate your birthday from miles away! I pray that God will continue to bless our family.

Speaking of birthdays, a few people close to me are celebrating their birthdays this December. Praying that you all enjoy your special day! I am so excited to celebrate my friend’s birthday. A mini stay-cation getaway! 🙂 Thank you Jesus for everything. You make the impossible, possible for me.

God bless you, have a lovely day!

Filipino food.

This week, I have been trying Filipino food from places I haven’t been to in Los Angeles. Yesterday, we went to Barrio Fiesta of Manila as birthday lunch for my aunt. We had Kare-kare, Sinigang, Fried Calamari, Sago Gulaman, White rice and Pancit. If you are Filipino, then you know what I am talking about. The server was nice and accommodating, which makes it a good place to eat.

Today, we went to Kalye Hits for the first time. It is a nice little restaurant that serves Filipino street foods! The price is reasonable in my opinion. You get five fish balls or shrimp balls for $2.50 each stick! I probably will come back because it is unique to have these items on a menu.

I dipped them in hot sauce and it tasted good. That photo shows the fish balls and I totally forgot to take a photo of the shrimp balls! Do you eat any street foods?

Hope you are having a wonderful week! God bless!

My birthday post!

It was just my birthday. Thank God for family! They always find the time to make my birthdays extra special and I’m thankful for that. I wish my Dad was here to celebrate though. It’s not the same when he is far away. But that is how it is now. So I just have to make the most of what is available. Boohoo, Iris. That is what I tell myself when I try to shrug off things. Hehe. I am also thankful for few friends who said their greetings!! God bless you. I appreciate it. It made my day brighter! Most of all, I am thankful for another blessed year that the Lord gave me.

Got this new cross body bag by Olivia + Joy. I am loving it! I figured I need a pop of color and I do not have a blue bag yet. It reminds me of the famous Rebecca Minkoff cross body bag. I just came across this bag and I said it’s my birthday present to myself. I’m still in a hunt for shades, though. I want a cat-eye shaped frames! So maybe I will have that one next!

My goodnesss! Today was an awesome day at church. I took notes of the sermon and I would like to share it:

The Significant Life

1. Realize that serving is a journey not a destination.
2. Be ready to move when God speaks.
3. Everyone is significant!
